IARC Data Archive

The International Arctic Research Center (IARC) Data Archive is designed for long term archival storage of Arctic and polar data. The IARC Data Archive began serving data in 2010, developed under DOE award number: DE-SC0005868. UAF is an AA/EO employer and educational institution.

Data Management	Each external funding agency has its own specific requirements for data management (see links below) so there is no uniform guidance that can be endorsed by UAA. Therefore, each Principal Investigator is responsible for consulting the appropriate external funding agency policy and Data Management Plan (DMP) guidelines prior to submitting a proposal to the Office of Sponsored Programs. To insure that a proposed DMP adheres to sponsor requirements, Principal Investigators are encouraged to utilize the publically available Data Management Plan Tool at https://dmptool. org/which containsopen source DMP templates for various funding agencies and institutions, as well as DMPs submitted b individuals. The templates are regularly updated to reflect the latest sponsor requirements
